Social Media Club - San Antonio

If you get it, share it

Hi All,

I thought I start a blog post to share social media tools we may come across and find them useful for our day to day "conquista" of the Social Media World.... so "If You Get It... Share It!"

SCRIBD.COM

I ran into this yesterday... if you don't use it already it works great when you have a document you need to scan and put it in your blog but don't wnat to or can't uploaded a s seperate document, etc, etc. Scribd.com 's free and it takes uploads of .pdf. .doc .xl etc. And once you upload your document you can make them private or public for all to search. Regardless if you mark it either way you can still embed the docs in your blog -just like a video- and they are easy to browse and look through.

Check out how I used it in the post about Michael Jackson for readers to see the now public last will: (look under the video) http://alamocitytimes.com/2009/07/02/michael-jacksons-last-video

Got a cool tool?? Share it here....

Oh... by the way if you haven't check out our friend Ryan's creation and now award winnng "WebSite Analyzer" check it out!!

It's a great, addictive tool to keep an eye on your site's SEO performance plus analytics, stats and more. You can get a free site report at Ryan's Pear Analytics... just look over the right column and enter your site's URL

You can find it at www.pearanalytics.com

Thanks Jennifer... I found this great site Scribd.com to upload documents and later embed a player like in your site or blog.

Check it out... I used it to post the Michael Jackson memorial program in my blog... files were to big for readers to take the time and download so this works great... you can mark them private and/or public so readers may embed the docs in their sites which in turn gives you traffic... Here's the post: http://alamocitytimes.com/2009/07/07/michaels-memorial-program

One of the new video services/tools I'm using is LiveStream . So far it looks like Ustream on steroids. Take a look and let me know what you think.
