IABC San Antonio "Barnraising" Event a Success!

Thanks to group member Susan Price of Firecat Studio for her immense help with getting the IABC San Antonio chapter website transformed into a spanking new Wordpress website! Months of pre-work went into the content/site map stage; then yesterday about two dozen people attend IABC workshop whereby pieces put together and website produced "in a day." (To be launched shortly.) Sheri Rosen (Frost Bank), former chapter pres. and internationally recognized corp comm leader, hatched the idea for the barnraising and brought it to life with help from generous peers in the greater SA communcation community.

Chris Hall, technology expert from IABC's global headquarters in CA, was flown in for the event as was content specialist Preston Lewis, owner of www.bonfirecommunications.com (San Francisco). The new website still needs tweaking, but it was an amazing experience to see the minds of so many savvy corp comm pros in SA work together to make this new chapter "social media" tool come to life! IABC says this barnraising experience will definitely be shared ast the upcoming IABC Leadership Institute in CA where the IABC chapter leaders from around the globe gather for a few days to share best practices in leadership and communications.
